I’m so glad we found each other!
It wasn’t long ago that I was searching for a way to help my dog with his health issues. He was getting older, had a little more “sugar” on his face, going blind, goop coming out of his eyes, slowing down, and little bumps on his body that mysterious came and went. He wasn’t himself and I didn’t know what to do.
He wasn’t himself and I didn’t know what to do.
I thought changing his diet might help. I went from kibble, DIY raw food, dehydrated raw food, cooked food, pre-mixes, supplements, and add-ins up the wazoo. I felt lost with all of the advice online and I just wanted my dog to be the healthy sprite, energy-filled, Chihuahua mix that I fell in love with at the shelter eight years ago.
So I heard about a test that would test nutrients and heavy metals.
So I heard about a test that would test nutrients and heavy metals. What the heck…I’ll try it on me first. Wow was I surprised to find out about my health! I then tested Mr. ChaCha (my Chihuahua) and I was taken aback. He was low in iron and his copper, zinc, and selenium levels were WAY too high. In addition, he had arsenic and mercury in his little body! Eek!
I worked with an amazing holistic veterinarian and I changed his diet to a low copper and zinc diet and added a fresh food iron supplement. Every morning, he receives a liver and kidney supplement to support these organs so they can detox the heavy metals. He is a changed little man.
I know it’s a journey, not a sprint when it comes to your pet’s health. But now I know what to do.
But now I know what to do.
I feel like the BEST pet parent because I’m doing everything to keep my little man healthy and happy so he lives a long life warm and curled up on my lap (while terrorizing the rest of the household).
I feel like the BEST pet parent.
My journey started out with unknowns and fear. There is a better way to keep your pet healthy and happy and it starts here.
